General
Entering initial service at the end of 2006, the GAZ-2330 "Tigr" (Rus: “Tiger” ) is a Russian 4x4 light reconnaissance and infantry mobility vehicle (IMV) manufactured by Military-Industrial Company LLC (BMK). Similar in size and capability to the IVECO LMV, which is also in Russian service, the Tigr features an all wheel independent torsion suspension, central tire inflation system, 1.2m fording depth, IEC 50963-96 Class 3 protection (STANAG level 1), and is survivable against IEDs and other mines, using hull shaping and crew isolation to provide much higher survivability than conventional light vehicles. The modeled version is the AMN 233114 Tigr-M SpN Multi-purpose Armored Vehicle introduced in 2010 with a more powerful 300hp 4.4liter YaMZ-5347-10 diesel engine, new armored hood, NBC filtration system, and replacement of the rear hatch. By default this vehicle is armed with a ring mounted 12.7mm DshK heavy machine gun but may also be equipped with the ARROWS-M2S remote weapon station, pintel mounted AT-14 ATGM, or Mk-19 automatic grenade launcher.
This vehicle is fully crew-able at the Commander's (F7), Gunner's (F6), Driver's (F9), and Squad Leader's (F11) positions, but only partially modeled with basic interior views.
The dismount section for the Tigr is 3 dismounts/scouts, equipped with 2 PG-7M RPG anti-armor weapons and 5.45mm rifles.
As of revision 4.156 the Tigr may be equipped with the Diehl Active Vehicle Protection System (AVePS) to enhance protection against RPG and ATGM threats.
