12Alfa
Lets have a AFV of the week thread with a different one every week.:drink: It will be both fun and give some non military people a look at what has, and is in service, and one day may be in the sim. This week the Centurion. Feel free to post. Centurion Main Battle Tank, Armour School, CFB Gagetown, New Brunswick https://c1.staticflickr.com/7/6031/6257267775_ce6dfefa5e_z.jpg Centurion came to Denmark in 1953 and was modified in 1982 by Denmark. The tank was such equipped with light-amplification camera, thermal imaging scanner and laser rangefinder. Members Ssnake
How do you get the quiz to work?Click on the "right arrow" button through the description of all vehicles. Once that you are done, the quiz will start (you must accept a pop-up window in your browser for that).Note that according to the quiz, Germany employs the BMP-2 (which is hogwash, of course).

12Alfa
All good, however my intent was just one AFV per week. You may post variants of said AFV, but lets keep the selection for the week on the same AFV so all can post their favorite versions or data, we will have a new AFV each week.

dejawolf
stridsvagn 102 and strv 105, the swedish super-centurion, that got cancelled because of sweden purchasing leopard 2: i think there was a story of a training exercise in sweden, where centurion crews went up against the newly purchased strv 122 and won. 12Alfa
I believe before the Leopards came on line, the centurion was the De-facto Euro tank.21 Armies used them, and still in service in various forms. And has fought in many wars from WWII to GW1.It is rumored that members here have served on them:wink2:

Gibsonm
And has fought in many wars from WWII .... Not sure that driving in the Berlin victory parade counts as "fought in WWII". But at least it made the Brits feel a little less embarrassed/inadequate when Uncle Joe's IS-IIIs started rolling past.
