Quagmire
Just been reading through the SB Wiki pages and came across this re. the infantry FO teams:"Note that in the current version of Pro PE it is not possible to use the FO commander's binoculars from within buildings! Elevation and range readouts will always read "0000"I recall this being discussed in the forums and I'm just curious if the bug has been resolved in the 2.6 update?Cheers,Q

Nasder
Just scouting around on the images and I got a a few questions. Now when each country's infantry got different weapon. Are these eye candy or do they offer different attributes aswell? Like some may have slower rate of fire, lower accuracy and so forth. Are these weapons tied to the choice of country or are they selected in the ammunition option? Eg, picking german would always bring the G36.Which infantry weapons are currently implemented? I've seen the danish, US, Iraqi and German weapon of choice. (maybe some more I've missed)

Grenny
Don't think that the different assault rifles are within the scope of SB.Doesn't make a big tactical impact if them "pea-shooters" have 550 or 700 RPM...of wether you can hit better at 300 or 400m :-P
Gibsonm
Ah well 2230 here so I guess I'll read the notes tomorrow. Not a major issue if delayed, I'll read the new Wiki entries instead. sabot_ready
Which infantry weapons are currently implemented? I've seen the danish, US, Iraqi and German weapon of choice. (maybe some more I've missed)I believe the new troops and the weapons they carry are mainly "art" upgrades and do not bring new weapon capabilities to the game.

Members Retro
A little something for the truckers.. did SSnake mention that missile and HMG teams can now be reloaded from supply vehicles? Might make for some nice "bring that convoy into the fort" scenarios..
Moderators Volcano Posted December 8, 2011 Moderators Share Posted December 8, 2011 A little something for the truckers.. did SSnake mention that missile and HMG teams can now be reloaded from supply vehicles? Might make for some nice "bring that convoy into the fort" scenarios..Ah, yes, great idea for a scenario. A cut off fortified unit is low on ammo, but under relatively light attack, while convoy w/ escort has to break through to them in a tough fight along a highway. Just enough time to get there and resupply before the actual heavy attack on the cut off/fortified unit occurs... hmm hmm, yes yes.

Quagmire
I’m thinking the Soviets acknowledge that the ZSU only carries so much ammunition (what 2,000 rounds) and has a huge cyclic rate (IIRC, some 4,000 rounds per min for the combined four guns) so roughly 30 sec of fire against ground targets is probably not as good a return as say 30 sec against a fixed or rotary wing airframe. Just found this vid of Polish Shilka's (ZSU-23-4MP models) training against ground targets. In short bursts it seems very effective: Q
Scrapper_511
Wow, the Shilka engine (same as PT-76?) sounds great in that video.
jazjar
With release so imminent, I believe this line that most of us are familiar with from Steelbeasts is appropriate: "This is one! Short count follow!" "Five, four, three, two, one!"
