Korean Maps?

Looking for maps for Korean scenarios, I was surprised when I could not find any to download. I guess everyone just used generic woody hilly maps?

There are at least a couple of Korean heightmaps in the install. At one time there was some work being done on them but I'm not sure how far that went.

Refer to the Google earth KMZ file in the docs folder of SB for the heighmap locations.

I started making a dmz-ish map a few months ago but have yet to finish it.

Just looking through the map editor,I see there is a Suweon-Osan height map and a Uijongbu Corridor height map. Sound pretty Korean to me.

Anyway, what your probably looking for are terrain maps, which is the height map with roads trees buildings, rivers etc added. There aren't any that I'm aware of in the install, but one clever guy did make a terrain map of a fair portion of the Suwon - Osan map. I heard it was lost in some sort of computer crash, but some people may still have the scenario and could probably get the map and add it to the downloads.

The other option is to open the listed height maps and creating your own terrain maps.

Thanks guys, Yerr I was hoping for terrain maps to be honest, guess I’m just going to have to work on the height maps…god give me patience, strength and time!!!
