SwissAdmiral
I've just today bought a new computer, and I just finished downloading steel beasts. I had assumed that there was a way for me to use my old ticket and receipt of purchase for the 1 year license to activate code meter on the new computer, but this seems to not be the case. There's still something around 70 days left on my year license, and I'd rather not lose that time. If needed, I can provide the receipt as proof of purchase to activate the rest of the license on this computer.
Gibsonm
That's one of the down sides of the "non dongle" option, it is linked to a specific computer. If you replace / significantly upgrade the computer, then the license is compromised.
SwissAdmiral
I see that now. I was simply hoping that snake could provide some sort of alternative if I provided proof of purchase, as I wasn't aware this would be an issue.

I just posted that so that in the future others might know - before they get to where you are. Nils is at a Conference in the US at the moment (talking to us Defence types) but I suspect someone will be along to help.
Members Ssnake
I will read and reply to emails in the next four hours. There are different options for you. The one that requires no intervention at all is to set your old computer as a license server and keep it running along the new machine for 70 days. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HP_mvKtppnk

Members Ssnake
Like I wrote, one option among others. Please uninstall the CodeMeter software, and delete the folder C:\ProgramData\CodeMeter
