kef1989
I know it does for HEAT impacts, but I'm talking about APFSDS? If so, does the shrapnel destroy components and crew members? Thank you! Edited 18 hours ago by kef1989

Gibsonm
Also the discarding sabots are not good for friendly Infantry directing in front of your tank (or other nearby vehicles). Edited 16 hours ago by Gibsonm

I'm pretty sure I've killed an unarmored vehicle with a sabot petal at least once.

Members Ssnake
Generally, sabot petals of medium caliber rounds are a danger only to exposed infantry, not so much other vehicles, except maybe very close to the muzzle (but then you're running danger of shooting those vehicles with the actual round as the petal separation is not yet very far). Sabots from large caliber rounds are, indeed, no joke for un- and lightly armored vehicles, or infantry behind light cover (like a brick wall). They will generally fly in a trumpet flute shaped cone in a random direction until they hit something, or get slowed down enough by air friction that gravity takes over.
