Maj.Hans
I was working on a mission and I tried to have a group of infantry take positions in buildings using the "Suppress" command. I then set their fire control to "Open Fire If..." and made it so the entire group would open fire if any of them were fired upon. Unfortunately, I found that every time I started the scenario, they reverted to "Stay" commands! It looks like infantry ordered to Suppress in the scenario builder will switch automatically to Stay, rather than use the correct tactic.
Members Ssnake
That sounds like a bug. Can you verify that it happens also with a nearly empty scenario that has nothing but a single infantry team in it? Then we can use that as the reference case for debugging, fixing, and later automated tests.
Maj.Hans
Tested and discovered the following: The "Suppress" tactic seems to work normally and as expected, if the unit is on "Fire at will" orders. If you have the unit set to "Open Fire If..." and any conditional statement, then it will revert them to "Stay" orders when starting the mission.
Members Ssnake
I hope someone else from the team picks this up, I'll be out of the office.
