1. Conditions:
    Time 0700
    Sunrise 0645
Light cloud cover with no precip.
    Visual range 3000m

2. Mission:

Excerpt of Brigade commander's emergency plan in case of surprise attack...

    I. Friendly:

A detachment of Luchs scouts are stationed along the border with the intention to give an early warning if an enemy attack appears immenent. If this is being read, the Luchs have spotted moving enemy columns that are amassing to attack.

        i. Orders:

All forward detachments (you) have been stationed in positions in front of the planned main line with the intention to move out immediately on contact with the enemy forces. Intention is to use the hilly terrain and urban areas to delay the enemy long enough for the rest of the battalion to take up their defensive positions extending in a line from (...) through to Uerbrecht and Förmude (...).

        ii. Friendly Composition:
        2 Platoons Leo 1A4 (squint)
        1 Platoon Marder 1A1 (squint)
        1 Platoon Luchs 1A1
        1 FO

        iia. Reinforcements:
Only to be used in emergencies, as they are being taken from the main line to help you delay.
        1 Platoon M48A2G A2 (squint)
        1 Platoon M113A2G

        iii. Fires:
1 Battery, 6 tubes of offmap artillery:
            36 HE (Per Tube)
            24 SMK (Per Tube)
            0  ICM (Per Tube)

        iv. Sustainment:
        Medic:  NONE
        Repair: NONE
        Ammo:   NONE

The CSS assets will be used to prepare the main line in case of an attack. You are to make due with what you have.

    II. Objectives:

        1. Delay the enemy for at least t+ 1:30 to buy time for rest of BTN.

    III. Enemy:

        i. Forces:

The GDR is currently using slightly older but still effective Soviet equipment, including T-55As, T-62s, BTR-60s and BMP-1s. The Luchs were unable to pin down an exact enemy size, though assume 1 Battalion +/- a company until you see otherwise.

        ii. CoA:

Likely to attempt to blitz across the open areas, using their superior numbers to overwhelm and trap your units to defeat in detail. Otherwise, unknown what the enemy's specific CoA is.

3. Command, Signal, Scenario Notes:

Command and Signal is as per SOP.

Its 1978, which means none of your callsigns have thermals yet at this point in time.

A tank.

Also is there a reason we have Danish Leopards instead of the German ones?

They look closer to the 1A4

Also no medic, no resupply and no ARV. With Leopard 1 tanks a lot of players will be annoyed as soon as their glas cannon takes the slightes hit. Or if someone hits a tree. Can we get that please?

Maybe. Ill get back to you on that

Also in the planing scenario the infantry has US camoflage. It would be nice to have fitting German camouflage so we know what our guys and what the enemies guys look like.

fixed for game scenario

Also the Luchs have thermals. Is that intentional or not? The briefing says none of my callsigns should have that.

the Luchs A1 did have thermals at this time so intentional
