MacNut
Hello, my friend and I just recently purchased Steel Beasts, and for the past 2 days we trying to play together. We found that port forwarding is not working as ISPs do not provide public IP, so we tried to use Radmin VPN and later ZeroTier for LAN play, but it's not working. Is there any setup I should be looking for to make it work?

If you use a site like https://whatismyipaddress.com/ (there are others as well), you will find out what you public / WAN IP address is. I can't help you with Radmin / ZeroTier, etc. as I don't want to be responsible for the attendant security risks that you are likely to expose yourself too.
MacNut
Hi, I use that site to check my IP as well, but it isn't the same IP on my router. Apparently, my ISP does not issue static(public) IPs for users and it costs extra to get one.

If the IP they provide changes, do you know how often (every time you restart the Router, weekly or maybe just at random)? If you know what the IP is (from What's my IP") then you can set port forwarding up. The problem you'll have if you don't pay for the static option (no idea how much that is) is that you will need to adjust the IP address that you tell others to use (it doesn't impact the actual port forwarding rules you set up).
Members Ssnake
You don't need a static IP address. The IV V4 address room is smaller than then number of daily internet users. So V4 IP addresses are a scarce resource. This is known for two decades, and that's why IP V6 was invented, but somehow people still cling to V4 addresses. Anyway. You look up your public IP address before you start a session. You set up your session. You send your current IP address to your friend(s) with the game invitation. Problem solved.
Solution MacNut Posted August 29 Author Solution Share Posted August 29 (edited) I did look up my public IP address, port forward with that and give it to my friend, still didn't work. I search a bit and, yes, my ISP just give user a private IP, not public, so port forwarding is not possible without even more setup. Well, I did found a solution to use Radmin to play this game, you have to go to Options > Network > Local IP Address and change it to Radmin IP instead. Thanks. I appreciated your help.
