vyrago
I'm curious. I use max detail, 4000 m visibility.
Gibsonm
Well the visibility varies with scenarios. As to other details: It will all depend on personal preference, machine capabilities, size of the scenario you usually run, whether you are hosting a session, etc. Edited June 3 by Gibsonm
iamfritz
All my graphic setting are cranked up to max all the time. In a scenario I'll vary them. Rainy or snow or stormy day adventures its' only 1500 meters. Desert or European Summer endeavors are out to 10,000 meters. Beyond that I get low fps and graphic anomalies.
vyrago
@iamfritz That last screenshot looks great! What settings for that one?

All settings maxed up, Weather visibility 10,000 meters. I believe that's the Fulda Gap (2015?) map. I play that one a lot.
Members Ssnake
Artifacts start appearing from about 11km visibility onwards (and get progressively worse). But then again, 11km in central Europe would be exceptional.

SippyCup
I max everything and cap by FPS at 60, although it runs at 65 for whatever reason.

Sometimes I will but the funky mountain disappear and vehicle mesh panels disappearing do the suspension of disbelief wrong. Plus, at 10kmI need to restart my computer to clear the RAM and not have internet connected, or it will drag.

Tanks and IFVs will try to shoot thru mountains and drive wacky over ridges, around hill bases, etc. if I don't clear my RAM and make sure nothing else is running. It's like they can see through a ridgeline but their weapons don't go through them. (side note: I also play Star Trek Bridge Commander. The AI there is very RAM feeble. If I dont restart/clear RAM before I play that, ships will fly sideways, do opposite of what I tell them (turn starboard instead of port) and fly directly into planets or each other) Edited June 16 by iamfritz
