jlh Posted May 21 Share Posted May 21 This might be old news. I noticed in a few scenarios involving the BRDM-2 AT, that at times they seem to be reluctant to engage targets. I made a scenario with a BRDM-2 AT platoon on a small rise over flat desert terrain with "Defend" orders with an opposing t-55 platoon at 5000m. I sent the tank platoon with "Engage" orders towards the BRDMs. In each run of the test the tanks were immediately spotted at 5000m, were plainly visible to the BRDMs at all times but were not engaged by the BRDMs until the tanks were about 1,450m from the BRDMs. I was the same no matter which of the six available missiles I chose for the BRDM. They engaged each time but not until the 1,450m range was reached. I ran a few tests with other ATGM systems, TOW etc, and they engaged at their max ranges as expected. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There was some internal confusion on how the sight should have been setup for the AI, and ultimately it was non-functional because the AI didn't know the gun sight was available.
