Crazy5
Let me apologize to the readers here...I seem to have this issue each time I return to SteelBeasts after an extended break (new computers, new version, etc.). Is there a "simple" way to narrow down what is preventing my various computers from seeing the three licenses I have on my CodeMeter? All of my computers are running on the same WiFi - no joy. I even tried hard-wired to the same network switch - no joy. Thanks in advance! BMF
Gibsonm
This may not be a specific fix, but many people seem to have less issues once they update CodeMeter to the latest version: https://www.wibu.com/support/user/user-software.html
Members Ssnake
Especially Windows 11 users should upgrade to the CodeMeter runtime version 8.0a. That seems to be the #1 reason why some people have trouble with CodeMeter. That being said, there's other potential sources of trouble - especially after moving to a fresh computer. The Windows Firewall might prevent communication through port 22350 (or whatever else you may have set to use). There could be errors in the configuration of the license server. Clients might be limited to search only a specific IP address in your local network (and maybe there's an error in the IP number). Finally, you may have licenses for only some older version of SB Pro, and the latest version that you installed might require a license upgrade. So, everything's set up the right way, it's just that the licenses that are required for this version of SB Pro PE just aren't there:
Crazy5
Appreciate the help, however, still no joy. Updated the CodeMeter Runtime on all machines...the licenses are all for the same version of the game. SSnake - your comment above about IP Addresses. That was really rushed in the video - do I need to manually enter IP addresses?
Administrators Sean Posted April 30 Administrators Share Posted April 30 The pc acting as a license server will need to have that port open on the internal network (this may happen automatically), and you'll need to point the other PCs in the network to that pc's ip address (you'll have to do this manually).
Members Ssnake
Crazy5, can you please run - on the machine with your CodeMeter USB stick plugged in - the CmDUST app, and then send me (by email) your "CmDust-Result.log" file? Don't post the file here.
