Crazy5
All - I have finally come back to SB after nearly a decade hiatus. I have purchased the most recent updates and have successfully played it on both of my computers (with one dongle). Today I bought another license in an effort to play the game on two machines simultaneously. After several hours of attempts - still no luck. I get the following error code: "License Failure - please ensure that the CodeMeter Control Center is running, and that you have a valid software or USB-dongle license of the following type available: 'SB Pro PE'" Both of my machines are running off of the same wireless router, but I don't have an "official" home network established. Reading several PDFs and other posts on this subject I am no closer to getting it up and running. What are the steps I need to take to get these machines to speak with each other and acknowledge the existence of a 2nd license? Thanks so much!
Solution Jartsev Posted November 2, 2020 Solution Share Posted November 2, 2020 If correct type of the license ('Secondary License') was purchased and activated, then very likely CodeMeter Runtime was installed without Network Server component on computer, which is supposed to act as a license server. This option is de-selected by default during installation, so you would need to run CodeMeter v.7.10a installer one more time and pick 'Change' instead of 'Remove' and then in the list of options to be installed enable 'Network Server'(it is on top of the list). Probably this is going to resolve situation for the case with 2 PCs connected via wireless router.
