RedWardancer
Need some help here. First recorded video in about three years or so. Did it in HD. During the briefing, it looks great. The problem is during gameplay, the video doesn't roll at all but sound is continuous. It's like watching screenshots. Where did I goof this up?
TSe419E
What are you using to record?
RedWardancer
OBS. I set the parameters to record and playback in HD. Watching the video, the audio is running continuously as normal. But playback is not going well.

TSe419E
@RedWardancer I use this video as a base setup: https://youtu.be/Xu424RsSK-8
Rotareneg
Without knowing what CPU and GPU you have it's kinda hard to guess what the problem was, but if you have a newish nvidia card you can try the NVENC encoder: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/guides/broadcasting-guide/
RedWardancer
CPU is Intel Core i7-6700 @3.41GHz, 32 GB RAM, 64-bit, NVIDIA GeForce 745.
Rotareneg
Ouch, that GPU is probably what's wrong, it's extremely underpowered for SB 4.250, let alone trying to record video at the same time.
RedWardancer
Best upgrade I can do for my PC is a GeForce 1660ti without having to get a stronger power unit. Will that do?
Rotareneg
It would be a HUGE improvement, if you can get one for a reasonable price. The GPU market is completely bonkers right now, the 1660 Super I got a year ago for $240 is going for around $700 on Amazon and Newegg as they're mostly out of stock and only being sold by scalpers. Also, 4.250 has some kind of performance issue/bug that makes it potentially run quite a bit worse than 4.167.

Will that do? Terrible moment in human history to upgrade one's GPU.
