  1. Kanium Sunday 24th of September OPS Winter Storm PART 3 by Nike-Ajax, in honor of SwordsmanDK I decided to make a last scenario in the unfinished campaign, so the end to the last two Sundays sessions and Scenarios. I hope I do his work at least some justice. Where: Kanium TS : ts3.din-server.dk:10000 World Clock 1800 GMT (Same time as always in Europe - now adjusted for Summer Time: click the time below for your local time) World clock 1800 GMT IMPORTANT NOTICE: This SB session may be recorded with video and sound and uploaded, including to a public youtube channel. AS always, then we are running the session with the latest version of Steelbeasts. Everybody is Welcome: you don't have to belong to Kanium. We love playing with you all, the arranger and CO loves you even more if you sign up in advance 😁 Ops: Winter Storm - Mission 3 of 3 - COUNTERATTACK by Nike-Ajax 1. SITUATION a. Enemy. Remaining Motor Rifle BDE from the 9th Brigade have consolidated their gains and taken up hasty defence to our EAST. Eny BDE has managed despite again taking almost impossibly heavy casualties, to secure the area to the EAST of OBJ SISU. In this position they still threaten our Air base to the north. We belive that they, if given time will consolidate and reinforce and push West and North both threatening our Airbase as well as our HQ to the West. They as a consequeence of the heavy losses we have inflicted in the last two battles, still held back in the Hunttula Forrest by Jaegers from F COy with heavy arty support and using minefields. We estimate that the ENY BTG to our East have been replenished to full strength, using the last reserves of the reinforced BDE. Drones and satelite intel confirms thats NO fresh units are on their way beyond that. The ENY in other words have no more reinforcements in this sector. Moreover it seems that the ENY overall command have been somewhat paralyzed due to the heavy losses they have incurred in such short time, so in total it is expected that the ENY will NOT attack until they have been reinforced, which means that they also tactically are inactive for now. Special forces are still in place to our EAST and report that ENY has reinforced and consolidated their HQ in ZZ1 with a large number of supply and command vehicles. We have heard unconfirmed rumours that they have taken civilian hostages at the ENY HQ to ensure we do not strike them with INDIRECT. MCOA for the ENY appears to defend in place awaiting replacements and reinforcements, in HASTY defence. But still with a risk of localized counterattacks. Our Recon seemed to indicate ENY Engineers working to the NORTH of OBJ SISU, thus indicating a risk of surface laid minefields there. But otherwise they have not had time to dig in yet. Intel confirms they are composed of T-72B3 tanks and BMP-2/BTR-82 mixed. They are supported by BDE assets, including strong AA of which some are SA19. So much like the forces you have already met and destroyed. ENY have taken up a Defensive position along the FLET, in preparation for the reinforcement that they somehow hope will arrive. Strong ENY Artillery expected in the AO. Air Warning Red !!! b. Friendly. Our Mechanized Battlegroup is to ATTACK and DESTROY ENY HQ, and in the process continue to attrit ENY BTG. Additional reserves are ready to our WEST (2 x TNK (LEO2A4) and 1x Mech plt). - B TNK COY (100%strength), 3 x PLT plus CMD - D COY (Mech) (100% strength), 3 x PLT plus CMD, Spike+NLAW combo (only small drones for inf PLTs) - Papa units - 2 x Romeo Section (2 x Recon BMP-2) - ECHO units (6 x Biber) - Hotel Units (AD, CSS, 1 UAV active, 1 UAV in reserve (on trigger) and HQ) - 1 x PLT MECHINF from F COY to the West (on trigger) - 2 x PLT TNK Leopard 2A4 from G COY to the West (on trigger). - Your indirect package have been upgraded 2. MISSION BG will COUNTERATTACK EAST to DESTROY the ENY HQ and supply centre. 3. EXECUTION a. Purpose. The purpose of this operation is to DESTROY the ENY, thus removing the options for further advance as well as securing the Airfield to our North, as well as opening for the possibility of a total ENY collapse in this sector. Avoid decisive losses, BUT this is a high priority mission and HQ are willing to incur losses if it can not be avoided to reach the goals. b. Key Tasks 1. Attack from West to EAST, destroying the ENY as you progress, and CLEARING the ENY HQ and supply node. 2. Protect your flanks as you push East, but you do NOT need to clear the AO of every ENY unit. 3. Do NOT get fixed 4. Use bibers to make bridge crossings as needed 5. A full Counterattack have been authorized by COs command and judgement, but do not risk the integrity of his command or the other tasks. c. End State Key task completed. ENY HQ and supply node destroyed. Own forces able to execute follow-up attacks to clear the entire AO to the East. d. Fires 1x AMOS PLT 2 x 3 tubes (with limited STRIX) 2 x BTY 4 x 3 tubes K1 Thunder 155mm 1 x 2 MLRS (NO reloads) >>>NOTES:<<<< 1. Your artillery can be killed! 3. You can NOT strike the ENY HQ with indirect - because there is a risk of friendly hostages. You MUST get eyes on first with OWN units - UAV is not enough. 4. STRIX are only to be used for verified targets! 5. BMS is on reflecting on modern units and BMS systems 7. Drones can be used in the entire AO. 8. Be careful of ENY AA - indicated range is a guesstimate and will change when and if ENY pushes AA assets forward. 9. OBSERVE: Bridges marked B1 and B2 are INTACT, due to the fact that the CO of the last engagement kept his composure and did NOT give the order to detonate. All other bridges are expected to be down to the East. (game techical: they will explode at the beginning to simulate already having been blown) Test scenario (To verify that everything works at your end and Map Recce): Winter_Storm_Mission_Three TEST.sce IMPORTANT: THIS is the map for the scenario for Sunday: Kouvostoliitto Finland 50x50km.zip
