New Arma DLC: Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1042220/Arma_3_Creator_DLC_Global_Mobilization__Cold_War_Germany/ For those who can't click: Willkommen! It's time for you to return to the Cold War. With its bombastic amounts of new original content, the Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Creator DLC for Arma 3 invites you to live and breathe the military conflict between the two Germanies in the 1980s. Ride into armored combat against a determined enemy that easily outnumbers you. Experience warfare from the perspective of infantry reinforced with APCs. Or breach the historic inner German border to force the enemy’s hand in battle. Which side of the wall will you fight for? Besides the West and East German armies, this DLC pack also includes Denmark as a smaller but viable military faction. Key Features Weferlingen Terrain Located in the northern plains of Germany, Weferlingen offers the largest Arma terrain released so far: 419 square kilometers of usable area. It's modeled after a real-world location in 1983, and uses entirely new assets – providing you with a unique experience that gives Arma 3 an entirely fresh look and feel. Explore nearly 50 fully destructible settlements in both West and East Germany, prepare your ambushes from scattered wooded areas, or have tanks battle each other at great distances on farmland – with each presenting its own major challenges. The Weferlingen terrain is also available in a special winter variant. After all, the Cold War should stay cold. Each of the available multiplayer scenarios can be played on this version of the terrain as well. In addition, be sure to check out the terrain’s largest dominating feature: the inner German border – a part of the famous Iron Curtain that was faithfully recreated using formerly classified documents. As a result, the Weferlingen terrain lets you take Arma 3 and turn it into a digital museum. 42 Vehicles & Vehicle Variants Pitting the Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany) against the German Democratic Republic (East Germany), you will encounter 42 new vehicle assets on the battlefield: West Germany KPz 1A1A1 and KPz 1A3 Main Battle Tanks M113 series of tracked Armoured Personnel Carriers in various roles TPz 1 series of wheeled Armoured Personnel Carriers in various roles FlakPz 1A1 Self Propelled Anti Aircraft platform BPz 2A0 recovery tank 0.5t Truck as fast attack vehicle and transporter 2t Truck in transport, medical and supply variants 5t Truck in transport and support roles 10t Truck heavy transporter K125 Motorcycle East Germany T-55A Main Battle Tank BMP-1 SP2 tracked Armoured Personnel Carrier SPW-60 series of wheeled Armoured Personnel Carriers in various roles SPW-40 scout vehicle and command post variant ZSU-23-4V1 Self Propelled Anti Aircraft platform Truck 5 series in transport, tractor and supply variants Truck 5 Mp series in three support roles Civilian P601, a car produced in East Germany (also available as police patrol) Typ 1200, a car produced in West Germany (also available as police patrol) Bicycle 21 Weapons Carry 21 timeless classic weapons (including weapon variants) into battle: West Germany G3 Battle Rifle and variants MG3 Machine Gun MP2A1 Submachine Gun PzF 44 Anti Tank Rocket Launcher PzF 84 Heavy Anti Tank Rocket Launcher Anti Tank Guided Missile Launcher P1 Handgun P2A1 Flare Gun East Germany KM-72 (East German-made AK-47) Assault Rifle and variants AK-74 Assault Rifle and variants RPK Light Machine Gun RPK-74 Light Machine Gun PKM Machine Gun RPG-7 Anti Tank Rocket Launcher Fagot Anti Tank Guided Missile Launcher PM Handgun LP-1 Flare Gun All of the relevant optics and binoculars are also included. Klemmer, a draftee in West German military, and Sgt. Brandt, the leader of his Leopard 1 tank platoon. Developed by people with real-world military experience, "State Scarlet” is designed to quench your thirst for Cold War military action with authentic combat operations, which sometimes overlap to show how the battle develops. This singleplayer campaign is fully voiced in German (with optional English subtitles). 17 Multiplayer Scenarios To ignite the Cold War right away, you and your friends can choose from 13 co-operative scenarios and 4 adversarial game modes. This scenario is a bit different. This is not real war but an exercise. Autumn maneuvers, eighties, south of Hanover. The player controls BW units, the aim of which is to pass over the River Leine below Marienburg Castle. This is followed by an advance along federal highways 3 and 1 towards Elze, Hemmendorf, Coppenbrügge. The Leinebrücke below the Marienburg, south of Hanover in Lower Saxony, was often the scene of heavy "fights" during the big exercises in the 80s. https://youtu.be/hVZYffcoHiE There is civil traffic and units that are not involved in the actual fighting. Larger scenario with a time approach of several hours. There is no score system since I don`t have a clue yet as is works. I grew up in this area and have a lot of memories about these exercises. I am thankful for any comments or hints. There is also a YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPLfbbc7RNuhJMmnrNGOOGg -

Playable as Blue Side Only -- This mission is the walk-the-talk portion of a Wiki article on using WERM and visual ranging, with this mission specfically highlighting the gill flaps on the T-64 that historically created ambiguity for gunners and commanders when ranging in poor visual conditions in the era before laser rangefinding. In this scenario, you will be the gunner on 1-2 Sho't Kal tanks, using WERM in conjunction with your own experience and practice to hit incoming enemy tanks under challenging visual conditions. Most of these targets will be T-64A's on the move, giving the user the chance to experience that "range-disruption" effect of the gill flaps first-hand. This is a firing range scenario, so these tanks will not be shooting back. There are two firing position options, both of which can be activated, as well as a bonus round that can be enabled for additional practice and variety. Feedback, bug reports, and anything else (Do you like it? If not, why? How can I improve or iterate this? Want a sequel?) is welcomed, this is my first file here and more will be coming in a similar vein, for a tutorial or "Practice X skill or System" perspective. Thank you!-

KANIUM SUNDAY 14th OF OCT 1800 GMT - Area Reconnaissance at Neustadt am Rübenberge 1989 v2.1 by Panzer_Leader, tweaked by Kingtiger Where: Kanium TS : teamspeak3.i3d.net:10077 World Clock 1800 GMT (Same time as always) BE ADVISED: Daylight Savings Time stops in Europe the night between 27´th and 28´th of October - the time below is accurate within that frame, and either way the electronic link should show you the correct time. World clock 1800 GMT IMPORTANT NOTICE: This SB session may be recorded with video and sound and uploaded, including to a public youtube channel. Everybody is Welcome: you don't have to belong to Kanium. We love playing with you all, the arranger and CO loves you even more if you sign up in advance Area Reconnaissance at Neustadt am Rübenberge 1989 v2.1 (4.010) KANIUM 1. SITUATION a. Enemy Forces The Soviet 3rd Combined Arms Army is attempting to encircle HANOVER and lead elements of 7th Guards Tank Division captured NEUSTADT AM RÜBENBERGE, 26 kilomteres north-west of HANOVER, late yesterday. Helicopter reconnaissance confirms a BTR-equipped Motorised Rifle Company (MRC) has occupied NEUSTADT AM RÜBENBERGE and assumed a hasty defence. Intelligence believes the MRC may be reinforced by a platoon of T-64Bs or BRDM-2 ATs and may be supported by 1-2 batteries of artillery. After a pause overnight the Soviet advance and encirclement of HANOVER is expected to continue at first light. Intelligence expects 3rd Combined Arms Army will attempt to complete encirclement of HANOVER at WUNSTORF or further west at PETERSHAGEN-MINDEN. It is expected combat reconnaissance patrols (CRPs) will radiate south and south-west of NEUSTADT AM RÜBENBERGE to locate 1 Panzer Division's (1 PzDiv) main defence. Applying enemy (ENY) doctrinal templates, the CRPs will be followed by a reinforced company-sized forward security element (FSE), reinforced battalion-sized advanced guard main body (AGMB) and regimental-sized main body attacks in succession along the selected ENY axes of advance. The ENY currently enjoys local air superiority so attack helicopters and air strikes may be encountered. b. Friendly Forces You command a company-sized kampfgruppe of 4 (Mixed) Company, Panzer Reconnaissance Battalion 1. This comprises two platoon of six Leopard 1A5 each, a section of four Lynx A2 and a platoon of three Fox 1A6 from 5 Company attached. You have a battery of six M109G 155 mm self-propelled howitzers firing HE and SMOKE natures in support. The main defence of 1 PzDiv is located to your south-west. Your kampfgruppe is the most forward element of 1 PzDiv and additional support cannot be expected. c. Attachments / Detachments - A jaeger platoon of 3 Fox 1A6 is attached. - An echelon of 1 Wisent ARV and 1 M113 Medic is attached. - A section of 4 Lynx A2 is detached. This platoon can be called back with a trigger if more slots are needed. 2. MISSION Commander of 1 PzDiv's intent is to confirm strength of ENY defence in NEUSTADT AM RÜBENBERGE in preparation for counterattack. Additionally, determine direction of advance of ENY FSE so 1 PzDiv can move to block main body along axis of advance. Insert a patrol behind ENY lines using infiltration route BEOWULF to observe and report on activity behind ENY lines north of NEUSTADT AM RÜBENBERGE. Avoid decisive engagement and maintain combat effectiveness for follow-on tasking by 1 PzDiv. Mission objectives are: i. Conduct area reconnaissance of NEUSTADT AM RÜBENBERGE to determine whether defending MRC is reinforced or not and, if so, whether by T-64B or BRDM-2 AT. Defeat any ENY CRPs encountered en route. ii. Establish observation of roads K347, K333 and K332 to determine direction of advance of ENY FSE. This will indicate axis of advance of follow-on AGMB and main body and allow 1 PzDiv to establish blocking position. iii. If the situation permits, infiltrate Lynx A2 and/or Fox 1A6 patrol into infiltration route BEOWULF to north-west of NEUSTADT AM RÜBENBERGE. iv. Avoid decisive engagement and maintain combat effectiveness above 80%. Hauptmann, the plan to complete the mission is up to you. Good luck! CHANGES FROM VERSION 2.0: - Appearance of Red personnel changed to 'USSR' (classic Soviet Motorised Rifle Troops). - Soviet Motorised Rifle sections comprise two rifle squads equipped with 5.45 mm rifle (AK-74); one with 5.45 mm MG with 320 ready rounds (RPK-74) and one with (R)PG-7L. Sources: FM 100-2-3, The Soviet Army: Troops, Organization, and Equipment, 1991 and OPFOR Worldwide Equipment Guide, 2000. - Modified Red scripting to provide more dismounted infantry defence in NEUSTADT AM RÜBENBERGE. - Changes to Red's eastern CRP and west-bound FSE routes to correct unintended vehicle behaviour. - Quality of Blue troops set to Regular. - Overhead View enabled. SCORING: - Correctly identify MRC reinforcements in NEUSTADT AM RÜBENBERGE = 30 points. Select Trigger 1 if you establish the MRC is not reinforced; Trigger 2 if you identify reinforcement by BRDM-2 ATs; Trigger 3 if you identify reinforcement by T-64Bs. Note that the CRPs may also be equipped with T-64Bs so you will need to confirm there are T-64Bs located within NEUSTADT AM RÜBENBERGE itself before selecting Trigger 3. - Correctly identify route of enemy FSE = 30 points. Select Trigger 4 if you determine the reinforced company-sized FSE is heading west on the K347; Trigger 5 if you identify it is heading south on the K333; Trigger 6 if you identify it is heading south-west on the K333 then K332. - Successfully infiltrate one or more operational Lynx A2 and/or Fox 1A6 into infiltration route BEOWULF at mission end = 20 points. - Maintain combat effectiveness above 80% = 1 point per % strength above 80%. - A minimum of 60 points is required for victory. SCENARIO NOTES: - Maximum mission time is 90 minutes -10% random. - The BRDM-2 used by enemy CRPs and FSE represents the RKhB chemical reconnaissance variant so its 14.5 mm Main Gun is disabled. - The AT-7 Saxhorn is represented by the AT-4b Spigot with fire control set to a maximum of 1000 metres. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: - Manteuffel for the Hannover_0311_HomeEdition map. - Falli for the German callsign template. - Duke and Eisenschwein for their assistance with the organisation and equipment of the Panzer Reconnaissance Battalion c.1989. - Gibsonm, DarkAngel and xrayzed of BG ANZAC for Beta testing the scenario. - Falli and PzBtl 911 for their helpful feedback on version 1.0 of the scenario. KANIUM SUNDAY 17TH OF JUN 1800 GMT - "11th ACR Mission 1 Delay at Bad Hersfeld" BY Sworsmandk Where: Kanium TS : teamspeak3.i3d.net:10077 World Clock 1800 GMT(Same time as always) World clock 1800 UTC IMPORTANT NOTICE: This SB session may be recorded w. video and sound and uploaded, including to a public youtube channel Everybody is Welcome you don't have to belong to kanium Excerpts of the battalion commander's orders for... 1) SITUATION: a) Enemy: In the last two hours we have been under heavy attack from 39th Guards Motor Rifle Division. As expected we are being forced back towards Bad Hersfeld and our minefields have been breached north of Bebra. Enemy units have been hit hard by both air attacks and our rotary assets. It is assesed that some units have been pulled out of actions already and second echelon forces have been deployed. Remaining MRR regiments we believe is at less than 75% combat streght left. Enemy appears to have three Course of Actions (COA) and looks to be focusing on two of them. Main effort (COA-1) from Herlefhausen south-west via Highway 4 and the second effort (COA-2) from Lüderbach and Ringbach south-west Highway 27. Both with main objective being Bad Hersfeld. COA-3 appears to be a probe going west/south-west along Landstrasse 3336. Enemy main effort (COA-1) appears to be along Highway 4 with 120th Guards MRR (motor rifle regiment), 117th Guards MRR, leading the way. Backing them up is the 15th Guards Tank Regiment. Enemy secondary effort (COA-2) is via Highway 27 with what we believe is 11th recon battalion leading and with 172nd Guards MRR following close behind. We have reason to believe that 80th Tank regiment is split between COA-1 and COA-2. The 3rd MTR BTN of the 172nd is reported undergoing refueling and rearming and will not be available to support their attack. Enemy is focusing main rotary effort on COA-1. Units identified 39th Helicoptor Squadron has been in action in that area. Enemy air forces is still a threat so air warning: yellow. b) Own: 3/11th is at war.
