  1. Unless something else pops up I‘d like to take B-1 Finnish Leopard 2A4.
  2. Also the Luchs have thermals. Is that intentional or not? The briefing says none of my callsigns should have that.
  3. Also in the planing scenario the infantry has US camoflage. It would be nice to have fitting German camouflage so we know what our guys and what the enemies guys look like.
  4. Also no medic, no resupply and no ARV. With Leopard 1 tanks a lot of players will be annoyed as soon as their glas cannon takes the slightes hit. Or if someone hits a tree. Can we get that please?
  5. A tank. Also is there a reason we have Danish Leopards instead of the German ones?
  6. Okay thank you. Also on a sidenote, in Steel Beasts on the Leopard 2A4 KH mode can be activated at all times (when fully stabilized). On the Leopard 2A5 it can not be activated when the loader is reloading the gun. Is that representative of the real system? Seems weird that they would change that. Since I have no real life experience with the Leopard 2A5 I wanted to clarify this.
  7. Also is there anything about the second half of my post? Is that intentional? And thank you for the quick response by the way.
  8. That’s exactly NOT the case. I specifically made sure to be in the KH mode and not KH HZF. I serve on the Pz 87 WE which does have a thermal camera for the commander and I am familiar with the difference between KH and KH HZF. In KH the gun follows the Peri (which is why the commander can set his own range at the Kommandantenbediengerät). I made sure to be in this mode. However, and I admit I should probably have clarified that, the second picture was indeed taken in KH HZF to show that the settings changed for the EMES WBG. In the first picture you can see that the Peri light is lit up and not the EMES light. What happened is that I wanted to set up my TIM in this mode which didn’t do anything to the TIM. I then tried to see what had happened and switched to KH HZF to see if it had changed something there and that’s when I took the second picture with the EMES light glowing. In Steel Beasts, activating KH HZF automatically switches the screen that displays the TIM to display the EMES-camera feed. (At least on my computer but if there’s a hotkey which can toogle between the two I might have bound it to the same keybind as KH HZF. I honestly don’t remember.) So the first picture shows the situation from KH, meaning the gun slaved to the Peri.
  9. So today I noticed some things that seem odd but I don't know if they're intentional or not. Hence this post. First, when using KH mode, altering the contrast and brightness of the Peri isn't possible. Instead, the input is done to the EMES. This seems like a rather odd decision and I would much rather be able to change it on the Peri. When switching to the EMES-camer feed, it makes sense to change the settings on the EMES but when I'm using the Peri WBG I want to change the settings on the Peri WBG. The picture below shows the Peri screen in KH mode. The second picture shows what happens when you alter the brightness settings in KH mode. The second picture shows the screen with the EMES-camera feed. For the EMES the settings have been changed. Secondly, when choosing to watch the video feed of the EMES-camera, hitting the [N] key won't tell the gunner to switch to a different magnification, it zooms into the picture of the screen. I don't know if that's a real option on the Leopard 2A5, (my experiences are entirely on the Panzer 87 Leopard WE) however in Steel Beasts I would much rather have it tell the AI gunner to switch magnification. The picture below show the situation before hitting [N] The second picture shows the slightly (digitally zoomed in) Peri screen. Is this intentional? I would prefer if there was an option to tell the AI gunner to switch between the large FOW and the small FOW. EDIT. I am using the lastest version 4.397 and both situation are reproducable in the tutorials and multiplayer.
  10. If you don't mind me offering you some advice, I suggest you start with either the Leopard 2 or the M1A1 Abrams. These two systems are relatively similar (which means once you know how to use one you are almost on two already) and they are very easy to operate which somewhat flattens the learning curve. Also have a look at this thread. https://www.steelbeasts.com/topic/16087-tank-platoon-a-beginner-series/ These scenarios were created by Mirzayev, an experienced Steel Beasts player and great scenario designer. They might help you once you got the basics down. I do however suggest you start with the tutorials!
  11. Hello el3ment You should check the "Events" tab of this forum. (https://www.steelbeasts.com/events/) That's a good overview of most of the events by active groups and when they are. Depending on your time zone and interests, a different group will fit you better or worse. The most regularly active ones to my understanding are (all times for Europe): Kanium: Every Sunday evening BG ANZAC: Every Thursday around lunch SB Pro PE Gef Gem: Every Friday evening TGIF: Every Saturday early in the morning Then there are some less regular ones like: TF Hannibal: Saturday evening but not every week PhanPhantasyHQ: On a non regular basis often at short notice through the week. In the future perhap bi-weekly on Saturday evenings. As stated above, all times from European perspective.
  12. The ability to set a speed for a route but in reverse. We did a convoy scenario today and all the vehicles were going about 25km/h. It would have been nice if I could have set my tank to follow a route in reverse at 25mk/h but if I tell my vehicle to move backwards it goes full speed. With the Heckabweiser of the Leopard 2 it would be neat to be able to have the hull point backwards and still follow a set speed. (Obviously limited to the max reverse speed. But at around 30km/h of that on some vehicles you could choose betwenn 10, 20, 25 and 30km/h as you can moving forward.)
  13. Situation changed to might make it. Will take what’s left if I manage to show up in time.

    Centauro Tutorials

Alright okay. I was confused because there's a subfolder like there is for all other tutorials but barely anthing in it, so I figured they might be missing. I will be using the Wiki then. Thank you.
  15. There appears to be only one scenario in the tutorial folder for the Centauro. I was planning on getting more familiar with this vehicle but quickly realized there's only the "Introduction" which is a scripted scenario where the player gets no control over the vehicles. Have there ever been other tutorials made for this vehicle? There's the tutorial structure that all vehicles with matching tutorials get but only one scenario that deosn't really teach you all that much, is that intentional? Or did the files go missing? I double checked with other members of the community and they do not have any other files either. Nor in the two previous released version. Is that by design? Or by mistake?
  16. 50/50 ond me showing up. Will take whatever is left and needed.
  17. So with the new uodate this issue has become even more prevalent. I get more frequent of these micro stutters. Additionally, tearing has become an issue. What confuses me is that I recently purchased a new computer which is far more powerful than the older one. In one of the replies it is stated that 60Hz monitors are part of the problem, I use a 144Hz. I tried VSYNC as well as the 60 FPS cap option in the graphic settings. I really don't know what to do at this point. The new system is supposed to be running far better but my sight (especially the daysight) keeps having massive tearing and micro stutters.
  18. Sigh, I have a plan ready in case nobody else wants to do the self-sacrifice. If somebody else wants to do it then please give me 1-1A.
  19. An indicator that the possession of a vehicle or unit has been handed to you would be nice. Maybe in the radio/text message space? Ideally indicating who gave the vehicle to you and what unit it actually is. For example something like this: 1-1A, Leopard 2A4 (Higgs)
