"Berm Buster I"
Take command of the 1-7th Cavalry as they breech the Iraqi border berm in Wadi Al-Batin. This operation was one of a large number of diversionary raids meant to keep Iraqi high command convinced that the main invasion would come directly from the south, through the Wadi Al-Batin, into Kuwait. Although the actual events on Feb 14th appear to have been much less intense than portrayed here, you will face a relatively sizable and relatively well entrenched Iraqi defensive position.
For this scenario you will find yourself in command of a large number of artillery assets, and a company to company+ sized force primarily consisting of M2A2 Bradley IFVs supported by some M3A2 CFVs.
There are some M1A1/HA Abrams tanks, M113s carrying troops with Mk19 AGLs, and some simulated (Squint really REALLY hard) M728 CEVs. Although you should not need them, a pair of AH-1Q Cobra attack helicopters are available.
Mission takes a maximum of 1.5 hours.
Although it is very possible to complete this on your own, this would make an excellent scenario for cooperative multiplayer.
Suggested Multiplayer positions and roles include:
1. Company CO/XO (M3A2s) - Coordinate general movement of the company and call artillery and air strikes.
2. M1A1 Tank Platoon - Command 4x M1A1/HA Abrams tanks. Due to the limited number of friendly tanks, it may be best to split into sections to rotate out for rearming.
3. M2A2 Platoon - Command 4x M2A2 IFVs and associated infantry. (x2)
4. M3A2 Platoon - Command 6x M3A2 CFVs, provide much needed fire support.
5. Weapons Platoon - Command 4x M113A2, and associated dismount teams of Mk.19 AGLs and rifle squads.
6. Helicopter Flight - Control the pair of AH-1Q's assigned to the mission, as well as their rearming and refueling at the company FARP.
